United Airlines to Launch Direct New York – Split Flights in 2026

United Airlines has announced the launch of a direct flight between New York (Newark) and Split, starting on April 30, 2026. This will be the first-ever nonstop service between Split and the United States and the first regular long-haul operation at Split Airport.

The new seasonal route follows United’s successful New York – Dubrovnik service, making Split the second Croatian city with direct flights to the U.S. Flights will operate three times weekly using a Boeing 767-300 wide-body aircraft.

Flights from New York to Split will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving the following morning, while Split to New York services will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays with same-day arrivals.

The seasonal service is planned to run until early September 2026, significantly improving connectivity between Croatia and the United States and providing a major boost to tourism in Dalmatia.
