BVI Charter Experience

Yacht charter in the British Virgin Islands offers a real Caribbean holiday. The tranquility and relaxation that can be found here are unrivaled. Group of islands lying in the Northern Caribbean, the BVI have long been the sailors’ heaven. Found in 1493 by Christopher Columbus, the archipelago has attracted all kinds of yachtsmen over the centuries. Today, it’s one of the most famous yacht charter destinations in the world.

Located at the center of BVI, Sir Francis Drake Channel is one of the most idyllic cruising grounds in the whole Caribbean. Surrounded by the formation of hilly green islands and islets that create protection from open-water swells and offer an abundance of protected anchorages. Steady easterly winds and small distances between the islands make beautiful sailing and the ability for island-hopping adventures. These advantages will make things easy, even for less experienced sailors.

The most visited spots are the largest island, Virgin Gorda on the East, and the beach party island Jost van Dyke, sitting on the West part of the BVI. Norman Island, Peter Island, and Cooper Island are just a few of many to be mentioned. Keep an eye on the forecast and set sail to Anegada to spend one of the most memorable days while in BVI. A mix of these glorious islands will provide a full Caribbean experience: miles of beautiful sandy beaches, constant gentle breeze, and staggering national parks – above and under water.

EXPERT ADVICE

One of the locations we highly recommend you visit while in the BVI is Anegada. Set sails from Virgin Gorda early in the morning, catch the trade winds and enjoy some good sailing that will make the 15 NM distance seem much less.

To be able to fully soak up the vibes of this Caribbean gem, we recommend you rent a scooter and visit some of Anegada’s signature beaches, like Loblolly or Cow Wreck. If you’re a lobster fan, you can enjoy Anegada’s local lobster dinner.
